Yes, Raleigh has published venue-rental options below $5,000. That does not mean the entire wedding costs less than $5,000. Food, drinks, rentals, staffing, permits and other services can make the final total very different.
The examples below use the City of Raleigh’s published rates checked November 1, 2026. The four-hour figures are arithmetic examples at the listed minimum duration, not quotes or guaranteed availability. Check the official rates and contact details before booking.

These four spaces have a four-hour minimum. The city does not permit food or drink inside St. Mark’s Chapel, so plan a separate reception location. Confirm how residency is determined, which spaces your rental covers, and all additional charges with the city.

Budget for the hours you actually need.
Four hours may be enough for one part of a celebration, but it may not fit setup, a ceremony, dinner and cleanup. Ask when your vendors can enter and when the room must be empty. If you need eight hours, request an eight-hour quote; do not build your budget around the minimum reservation alone.
Compare complete totals.
- Space rental, taxes, deposits and any required insurance.
- Tables, chairs, linens, delivery and collection.
- Catering, beverages, service staff and cleanup.
- Any alcohol, security, sound or event requirements.
- A weather backup and the cost of moving the ceremony.
Ask vendors to identify refundable deposits separately from costs you will spend. A low rental fee can be a good starting point, but it is not automatically the least expensive finished event.
Keep photography in its own budget line.
Our $995 six-hour photography package is separate from venue rental. As a simple illustration, a $600 space rental plus $995 photography equals $1,595 before all other wedding expenses. This is a planning calculation, not a combined package or a complete-wedding quote.
Choose two or three spaces that fit your guest list, request the same date and rental duration from each, and compare the written totals side by side.
